"Dancing is the loftiest, the most moving, the most beautiful of the arts, because it is not a mere translation or abstraction from life; it is life itself." ~Havelock Ellis

Jessamine?

"All night have the roses heard The flute, violin, bassoon;
All night has the casement jessamine stirr'd to the dancers dancing in tune;
Till a silence fell with the waking bird,
And a hush with the setting moon."
~Alfred, Lord Tennyson

In case you were wondering...
Yellow jessamine is a high-climbing, woody vine that is known by several names, including Carolina jessamine, poor man's rope, or yellow jasmin. It has also been referred to as The Pride of Augusta, because it is found abundantly near Augusta, Georgia. One of the most notable characteristics of the plant is the fragrant flowers that send a sweet, prevailing scent through the wintery woods.

Something to celebrate!!!

We finished the finale last night! at least the dancing part! We still have the apotheosis. I can't believe it's done before the week before the show! We might make it yet! I'll keep you posted! ~Mindy

It's finally finished!

We finished snow on Saturday! It was painful, but we did it! Now I have to finish Opening of Act II, Finale solos and the battle scene this week. I will be done by Friday!! I hate having a deadline. The artist in me doesn't like it, but the teacher in me has to have it. I'll keep you posted. ~ Mindy

Here's a thought that was sent to me by my friend Tracie. It will make you think about your friends and appreciate your relationships with them. Enjoy!

People come into your life for a reason, a season or a lifetime. When you know which one it is, you will know what to do for that person.

When someone is in your life for a REASON, it is usually to meet a need you have expressed. They have come to assist you through a difficulty, to provide you with guidance and support, to aid you physically, emotionally or spiritually. They may seem like a godsend and they are. They are there for the reason you need them to be. Then, without any wrongdoing on your part or at an inconvenient time, this person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end. Sometimes they die. Sometimes they walk away. Sometimes they act up and force you to take a stand. What we must realize is that our need has been met, our desire fulfilled, their work is done. The prayer you sent up has been answered and now it is time to move on.

Some people come into your life for a SEASON, because your turn has come to share, grow or learn. They bring you an experience of peace or make you laugh. They may teach you something you have never done. They usually give you an unbelievable amount of joy. Believe it, it is real. But only for a season!

LIFETIME relationships teach you lifetime lessons, things you must build upon in order to have a solid emotional foundation. Your job is to accept the lesson, love the person and put what you have learned to use in all other relationships and areas of your life. It is said that love is blind but friendship is clairvoyant.

I don't know what day it is!

I am so glad that we had the day off yesterday, but now I am totally confused! Not dancing for a day will do that! I've been trying to get motivated to start painting Tree People unitards! Once I start I have to do them all. But I don't have much time, so I'd better get started. I'll keep you posted.
